TissUUmaps 4: facilitating community contributions to spatial biology visualization – Jonas Windhager

Analyzing complex biological datasets requires more than just good algorithms and raw computing power; it requires sustainable, collaboratively developed and scientifically sound software. In this seminar, I will give an update on the upcoming major release of TissUUmaps, a web-based platform for interactively visualizing and sharing large-scale spatial biology data. Beyond a feature update, I will particularly focus on the "human factor" in research software development, and on how architectural decisions in the development of TissUUmaps 4 can lower the barrier for community contributions.
