Deformable image registration using combinatorial optimization – Filip Malmberg

As part of the CBA imreg challenge initiative, I will in this seminar present some earlier work on developing methods for deformable image registration. This project was carried out in collaboration with the Department of surgical sciences, Radiology. I will talk about how image registration can be phrased as a combinatorial optimization problem, and the computational challenges involved in solving such problems. I will also present a software package for image registration, called "Deform", that was developed within the project.
