Researchers worry about recruitment and retention, but perhaps they need to worry more. Many people in society are poorly served by health services, and some of that comes from these same people being poorly served by health research. Researchers need to think about ‘Who?’ not only ‘How many?’ to a greater extent than we have been doing if we want to reduce inequity in health outcomes. This talk will cover why this is important, and the sorts of things we can do to make our trials better.

Shaun Treweek is a Professor at the University of Aberdeen, where he is active in the field of efficient trial design. His research includes pragmatic trial design, improved recruitment and retention strategies for trials, the design of complex interventions, and the effective presentation of research evidence.

We look forward to seeing you there!
