You are warmly welcome to an in-person seminar by Elin Inge, Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University, which will focus on ethical perspectives on public involvement.

Public involvement has become an increasingly important approach in health research, aiming to make research more relevant and responsive to societal needs. By involving members of the public in different stages of the research process, researchers seek to strengthen the democratic and practical value of their work. At the same time, public involvement raises important ethical questions.
This seminar explores ethical perspectives on public involvement, focusing on issues such as representation, recognition of experiential knowledge, and power relations between researchers and public contributors. It draws on research on participatory practices in health research and reflects on the challenges of translating ideals of collaboration and participation into everyday research practice.
The in-person seminar will be held in English and is open to anyone interested.
If you are planning on attending, please inform the contact person responsible (louise.asberg_dun@uu.se) so that we can anticipate the number of attendees.
