Mathias Hallberg appointed new Chair of the U-CARE Steering Committee

We are pleased to announce that Professor Mathias Hallberg has been appointed Chair of the U-CARE Steering Committee for the period 1 September 2026 to 29 February 2028.
Mathias Hallberg is Deputy Vice-Rector for the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy at Uppsala University. He is Professor of Pharmacology and previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy from 2020 to 2026. Hallberg has extensive experience of academic leadership and has also been recognised for his contributions to research and teaching, having received both the Oscar Prize and the Pedagogical Prize at Uppsala University.
Mathias Hallberg succeeds Professor Karin Forsberg Nilsson, who has served as Chair of the U-CARE Steering Committee since 2020.
