Welcome to UPPMAX!

UPPMAX is the computer center for Uppsala University and is part of the organization NAISS.
Right now UPPMAX is managing four (to become two) clusters:

Bianca, for NAISS-SENS projects with sensitive data. Any research team can apply for this. This system has lately been updated with newer Maja nodes.
Pelle, replacement for Rackham: Pelle is now open for all UU-affiliated projects. Welcome!
1. You'll get better performance!
2. Check if your software is installed. Otherwise contact support@uppmax.uu.se about missing software.
3. When Gorilla storage is ready, transition from Crex will be handled by UPPMAX staff. The home folders are now on Gorilla. If you have paths that contain both "crex" and "home" you need to change them.

The following clusters were decommissioned Fri 30 January

Rackham, for local projects with PIs (Principal investigators) affiliated to UU.
Snowy, for undergraduate studies at UU, and local projects with needs of GPUs or long simulations.
