Short presentation
My doctoral studies focused on factors that influence migrants' health and well-being, and mitigate ill-health in the early post-migration phase. My research interests include migrantion and health, social determinants of health, qualitative and quantitative methodology, health equity and integration discourses. I am currently working as a researcher and teacher at the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences where I am part of the research project Tillsammans för en trygg start.

Biography
With a background in humanities turned public health scientist, my passion is embedded in my skills and expertise: Health promotion, mental health and well-being, health equity, epidemiology & social medicine
I have a degree in Oriental Studies from Uppsala University and a master’s degree in global health from Karolinska Institutet. I have also studied civil law, national law and EU law at Uppsala University. I have fifteen years of work experience as a program manager and analyst in Karolinska Institutet in the field of international education and research collaboration. I obtained my doctoral degree from Uppsala University in May 2023 with the thesis "Health of refugee migrants in the early post-migration phase in Sweden - The role of health resources and health promotion."
I am a member of Swedish Chapter of Women in Global Health (WGH) and Support Platform for Migration and Health, Malmö Institute for Studies of Migration (MILSA).
