Kort presentation
Jag arbetar som forskare och lärare vid inst för folkhälso- och vårdvetenskap där jag medverkar i projekt om migration, föräldraskap och våld i nära relationer. Mitt forskningsintresse inbegriper migration och hälsa, sociala hälsodeterminanter och jämlik hälsa, kvalitativ och kvantitativ forskningsmetodik samt integrationsdiskurser. Mina forskarstudier fokuserade på faktorer som påverkar migranters hälsa och välbefinnande, och skyddar mot ohälsa i den tidiga post-migrationsfasen.

Biografi
Jag har en grundexamen i Orientalistik från Uppsala Universitet och en mastersexamen i global hälsa från Karolinska Institutet. Jag har också studerat civilrätt, statsrätt och EG-rätt vid Uppsala Universitet. Jag har femton års arbetslivserfarenhet som projektledare och utredare vid Karolinska Institutet inom fältet internationella utbildningsfrågor och internationellt forskningssamarbete. Jag disputerade vid Uppsala universitet (maj 2023) med avhandlingen "Health of refugee migrants in the early post-migration phase in Sweden - The role of health resources and health promotion." Jag är medlem i Swedish Chapter of Women in Global Health (WGH) och Support Platform for Migration and Health, Malmö Institute for Studies of Migration (MILSA).
