Short presentation
My PhD project focuses on the linguistic construction of discourses concerning measures against climate change in mass media materials from the 1990s to the 2020s. In addition to exploring the topics being debated, I also examine the linguistic construction of climate change discourses, including an analysis of how climate action is legitimized, how legitimizations convey affect, and how responsibility for both climate change and action against it is articulated.
