Short presentation

My research field is epistemology of religion, with a specialisation in epistemic trust, testimonial knowledge, and belief in authority.

In my PhD project I investigate epistemic consequences of religious disagreement. I discuss questions such as: Is it possible to find trustworthy religious knowledge in spite of prevalent disagreements among religious authority? If that is the case, who should you trust when you are met by conflicting testimony?

Biography

In 2021 I earned a Master's Degree in Philosophy of Religion from Uppsala University, and in 2022 I earned a Magister Degree in Theoretical Philosophy from Stockholm University.

Since September 2022 I am a PhD student in Philosopy of Religion at Uppsala Univeristy. My supervisors are Mikael Stenmark (UU) and Kathrin Glüer-Pagin (SU).

Research

My area of specialisation is epistemology of religion. This means that I research religious belief, knowledge, and understanding. More specifically I investigate issues concerning trust in religious authority as grounds for belief. I'm also more interested in other epistemological questions, philosophy of language and metaphilosophy.

During the academic year 2024-2025, I'm a Visiting Student Research Collaborator at Princeton University's philosophy department and a Visiting Fellow with the Princeton Project in Philosophy and Religion.

As an honorable mention, I am also a fan of Søren Kierkegaard, whom I turn to when all else fails.
