Short presentation

My research field is epistemology of religion, with a specialisation in questions about epistemic trust, faith, and belief in authority.

In my PhD project, I investigate epistemic consequences of religious disagreement. I discuss questions such as: Is it possible to have rational beliefs about religious propositions, despite widespread disagreement? What beliefs can we rationally have about religious propositions?

Biography

In 2021 I earned a Master's Degree in Philosophy of Religion from Uppsala University, and in 2022 I earned a Magister Degree in Theoretical Philosophy from Stockholm University.

Since September 2022 I am a PhD student in Philosopy of Religion at Uppsala Univeristy. My supervisors are Mikael Stenmark (UU) and Kathrin Glüer-Pagin (SU). I spent the 2024-2025 academic year at Princeton University's philosophy department as a visiting PhD student with Lara Buchak as my faculty advisor. At Princeton, I was also a part of Princeton Project in Philosophy and Religion.

During AY 2025-2026, I serve as chair of the Theology PhD-student council (TDR).

Besides my PhD studies, I'm also a book-review editor for the journal Agatheos a columnist at Universitetsläraren.

Research

My area of specialization is epistemology of religion, which involves researching religious belief, faith, and knowledge. In my primary research, I investigate issues concerning the rational permissibility of committing to a religion despite uncertainty about the truth claims of that religion.

I'm also interested in other epistemological questions, especially the questions that are of social and societal relevance.
