Thomas Roosdorp

Short presentation

I am a nutritionist with great interest in nutritional and public health epidemiology, as well as a doctoral student in food science where my primary research is to investigate the effect of a Nordic diet on atherosclerosis.

Open to talk about causal inference, nutritional epidemiological methods (such as food substitution models), and R programming.

Biography

I am a nutritionist with a bachelor's degree in nutrition from Stockholms University in cooperation with Karolinska Institutet, as well as a master's degree from Karolinska Institutet in public health epidemiology.

I had the opportunity during my bachelor's thesis to investigate the association between Lipophilic Index and Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD; now referred to as MAFLD). During my master's thesis I investigated using causal inference methodology how various food substitution modelling approaches (e.g. non-specified and specified substitution, and leave-one-out models) performed; using non-fermented and fermented milk intake and all-cause mortality as an example.
