Visual literacy in scientific practice
About the project
The use of visually encoded information to explore as well as to explain scientific findings is a central act in scientific practice. Within information studies, visual literacy has emerged as an important dimension, but one that still needs further exploration. Through the study of visual
information practices, as well as the study of the visual information object itself, the goal of my PhD-project is to create a better understanding of the visual literacy is expressed in scientific practice.'
