Electronic waste, Right to repair
The project aims to identify barriers to a digital R2R and will analyse the effectiveness of upcoming EU legislative proposals.
Electronic waste, right to repair
E-waste is a growing problem globally and the EU is working on legislation for a Right to Repair (R2R) to address this problem. R2R must cover both physical and digital repairs to be effective. This project studies the concept of "repair" in relation to software and digital R2R, using theories and methods from STS and sustainable transition. The project aims to identify barriers to a digital R2R and will analyse the effectiveness of upcoming EU legislative proposals.
