Researcher Johana Kunin's FORMAS project will examine how farmers balance the economic benefits of using herbicides in genetically modified crops against claims of environmental damage and health risks linked to pesticides. It also explores the interconnectedness of humans and non-humans—such as soils, weeds, pests, seeds, chemicals, and climates—to better understand the social and ecological dynamics within agro-industrial landscapes.
