Plant ecology, evolution and conservation
My group studies the ecology, evolution and conservation of plant populations. We are particularly interested in the ecological and evolutionary consequences of plant-pollinator interactions, and their role in shaping floral diversity. We also study how ecological and genetic factors interact to determine plant population viability, and evaluate potential management implications. To address these issues, we combine field and common garden experiments, experimental evolution, demographic and genetic surveys, and modelling approaches.
Current research projects:
- Evolution of flower diversity
- Plant population viability
