About the Department of Education

The Department of Education is responsible for three third-cycle (doctoral) subjects – Curriculum studies, Education, and Sociology of Education.

Courses and study programmes

We offer courses in several main fields of study and subjects (taught in Swedish). Courses taught in English on undergraduate and advanced level is offered to our Exchange Students. We also offer a Master´s Programme in Sociology of Education (taught in English), which is an international Master Programme.

The Department of Education is home to many creative and successful research environments. We are also responsible for several National graduate schools, Further training for teachers and the National School Leadership Programme.
