The Department of Education offers courses in several main fields of study and subjects (taught in Swedish). Courses taught in English on undergraduate and advanced level is offered to our exchange students. We also offer a Master Programme in Sociology of Education (taught in English), which is an International Master's Programme.

Doctoral Studies
We offer a PhD programme within three different academic disciplines. A doctoral student is admitted to one of these disciplines through separate processes of application.
Doctoral Schools
The Department of Education is the host for a Doctoral School funded by the Swedish Research Council. The department also participates in several other Doctoral Schools

Nordplus - NNTE
The Network aims at developing the quality of teacher education through teacher and student exchange.
Nordplus Network for Teacher Education, NNTE, is a well-functioning cooperation between partner institutions in the Baltic and Nordic countries in the area of teacher education. Uppsala university and the Department of Education is currently the coordinating institution.
