The Royal Academy of Sciences has awarded doctoral student Irineos Papakyriacou at IGP a scholarship of SEK 100 000.
The scholarship will be used to novel immune regulatory mechanisms in breast cancer cells upon immune checkpoint blockade therapy. He also plans to develop new therapeutic approaches to improve anti-tumour immunity. The goal is to increase the understanding of anti-tumour immunity and reveal therapeutic possibilities to revert resistance to immunotherapy.
