Research infrastructures
The department hosts seven service facilities that are also open to external users. Most of them are organised or funded by SciLifeLab, while BioVis is supported by the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy. IGP also hosts U-CAN, one of the "Strategic Research Areas" funded by the Swedish government.
Uppsala Genome Centre
Uppsala Genome Centre offers sequencing services for genetic research, from extraction of DNA to analysis completion of a sequencing project.
Clinical Genomics Uppsala
The mission for Clinical Genomics Uppsala is to develop and provide new genetic tests for routine diagnostics and translational research projects.
Affinity Proteomics – Uppsala
The Unit for Affinity Proteomics offers expertise in the analysis of human body fluids, cells and tissue lysates.
Data Centre
Data Centre provides support regarding IT and data management to other SciLifeLab platforms.
DanioReadout
The facility provides services for researchers who wish to use zebrafish to study human diseases and substance exposure.
Preclinical Cancer Treatment Centre
The centre offers service for the evaluation of novel drugs or for studies to refine current cancer therapies.
BioVis
IGP also hosts the BioVis facility which provides researchers with instrumentation and service for flow cytometry and microscopy, for studying biological samples at the tissue, cell and subcellular level.
U-CAN
The infrastucture U-CAN collects data and creates a biobank with blood and tissue samples for cancer research.
