Neuro-oncology and Neurodegeneration

Several groups in the research programme study cancer of the nervous system, primarily the brain tumour types glioblastoma and medulloblastoma. By trying to answer fundamental questions about brain cancer we hope to develop new strategies for diagnosis and therapy for patients with these severe diseases. In the programme there are also projects focusing on cancer in the eye, cognitive disorders and the neurodegenerative condition amyloidosis.
