Uppsala University's annual Winter Conferment Ceremony took place on 26 January at which the Faculty of Law’s two honorary doctors, Professor Vesna Rijavec, and Anders Eka, Justice and President of the Supreme Court, were honoured together with the two doctors of law Markus Ehrenpil and Tom Mulisa. Professor Eric Bylander was promotor.
Vesna Rijavec and Anders Eka were appointed new honorary doctors at the Faculty of Law last autumn, and on 26 January they and the two doctors of law Markus Ehrenpil and Tom Mulisa were honoured alongside the university's other doctors at the annual Winter Conferment Ceremony. Before and during the ceremony, they were presented with the honours of a doctoral hat, a doctoral ring, and a diploma by the Faculty of Law's promotor Professor Eric Bylander. The new doctors were also honoured with the traditional canon salute at Uppsala Castle and the University Main Building, and the ringing of bells in Uppsala Cathedral. The festivities ended with dinner in the Hall of State at the castle.

The Honorary Doctors and the Doctoral Degree Conferment Ceremony at Uppsala University
The Doctoral Degree Conferment Ceremony is an event celebrating everyone who has completed a doctoral degree during the year. It takes place twice a year: the Spring Conferment Ceremony at the end of May/beginning of June and the Winter Conferment Ceremony at the end of January to which the university invites the honorary doctors, where they receive all three tokens of honour: hat or laurel wreath, diploma and ring.
