The Constitutional Preparedness of the Swedish Social Insurance System

Summary

The project investigates how the right to social security benefits and how the Swedish social insurance system changes during a serious crisis, war or danger of war as well as what Sweden's constitutional preparedness looks like, namely to what degree the regulations that may be needed in those situations are prepared beforehand. The project's focus is on the benefits that are regulated in the Swedish Social Insurance Code, including the state pension, as well as on the defence benefits that are paid to soldiers in the Swedish Home Guard and to those obligated to serve in Sweden's total defence.
