Work environment and equal opportunities
We actively promote a healthy and sustainable working environment with equal rights and opportunities for all staff and students. This helps to make the department a place of learning with a safe, stimulating and challenging learning and research environment. It creates the conditions for successful operations, attracting new talented employees who thrive and stay.
Uppsala University will have a healthy and sustainable work environment for all staff and students
Responsibility and organisation
The person responsible for the work environment in the department is the Head of Department. The department also has a work environment group and an equal opportunities group.
The Health and Safety Group coordinates and informs about the department's health and safety work.
The task of the Equal Opportunities Group is to draw up measures that ‘aim to counteract discrimination and otherwise promote equal rights and opportunities regardless of gender, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age’ (Discrimination Act SFS 2008:567, Chapter 1, Section 1).
