Prof. Anders Friberg, Royal Institute of Technology: "Computational Modeling of Music Performance"
For over 35 years, professor Anders Friberg and his colleagues in the music acoustics group at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm have used computational modeling in a unique approach to investigate the secrets of music performance. During this talk, Friberg will offer a whistle-stop-tour of some of the landmark studies in his groundbreaking work while also presenting some recent findings. Aspects of music performance covered include phrasing, intonation, micro-timing, dynamics, articulation, and emotional expression.
