About the Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Uppsala University and employs about 120 persons−of which half are professors, researchers and teachers. About 50 doctoral students and a varying number of visiting researchers and visiting doctoral students are active at the department. All in all about 700 students are educated every year.

The department is governed by a Departmental Board, composed of the head of department and staff and student representatives. Important for the work of the department are also a number of Task Forces and Action Plans.
