Center for Multidisciplinary Research on Religion and Society (CRS)

Several of the research projects conducted within the subject are carried out in collaboration with CRS. Researchers within the subject are also active as members of the center's Scientific Council and as scientific leaders for the theme “Science, Worldview, and Education” (Mikael Stenmark).

European Society for the Study of Science and Theology (ESSSAT)

Several of our researchers are active members of ESSSAT, an interdisciplinary network for researchers interested in the relationship between natural science and theology.

Nordic Society for Philosophy of Religion

The network consists of philosophers of religion and theologians from the Baltic countries, Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Its activities mainly consist of organizing a biennial Nordic conference on philosophy of religion with participants from both the Nordic countries and around the world, as well as publications based on the conferences. The society is also part of the European Society for Philosophy of Religion.

European Society for Philosophy of Religion

A European network of philosophers conducting research in the philosophy of religion. Its activities mainly consist of organizing a joint conference every two years on a common theme and exchanging information on ongoing research and research initiatives in Europe.

Nordic Pragmatism Network

The network is interdisciplinary and consists of researchers from Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The focus is primarily on how pragmatism can address and process various scientific and social issues related to democracy, education, religion, and politics. Its activities mainly consist of workshops and the preparation of joint publications, as well as organizing the European Pragmatism Conference every three years in collaboration with other regional networks in Europe.

Collaborations

Research school in philosophy of religion

Research school in philosophy of religion in collaboration with the Center for Theology and Religious Studies (CTR), Lund University. Active doctoral students and researchers in the field meet once per semester. A joint research school in the subject is also organized on a regular basis with the Faculty of Theology in Helsinki.
