Veteran train and bus to Linnaeus' Hammarby
Day day trip with heritage train and bus – Saturdays 19 September 2026
On Saturday 19 September when we celebrate Apple Days at Linnaeus' Hammarby the Uppsala-Lenna Heritage Railway operates a veteran bus service to Hammarby. There will be a guide on the bus and on the way back to Uppsala you will passa the smal estate Sävja which Carl Linnaeus bought together with Hammarby.
The heritge train departs from Uppsala Östra 10:00 and 12:38. At the stop Marienlund you will change to a heritage bus. About an hour efter departure you will arrive to Linnaeus' Hammarby where the timetable allows for a 2,5 hours stop. Take your time to visit the manor to learn about apples at the event Apple Days, and to have a Swedish fika.
Departure time from Linnaeus' Hammarby 13:45 and 16:20.

- senior and student discount are available
- children 4–15 years old SEK 60
- children under 4 år gratis
Buy your ticket at the ticket desk at the railway station Uppsala Östra on the day of departure.
Admission fee to Linnaeus' Hammarby is not included in the bus and train ticket.

Sundays during July and part of August the Uppsala-Lenna Heritage Railway operates a veteran bus service to Linnaeus’ Hammarby.

Tickets (one way): SEK 110 per adult, SEK 30 per children 4–15 years old. Children under 4 years old are free of charge. Concession apply to students and senior s´citizens.

Entrance fee to Linnaeus' Hammarby is not included in the price.

Guided tour of the manor:
- 11:15, 11:45, 12:45, 14:30, and 15:30 in Swedish
- 12:15 and 15:00 in English
The guided tours are popular and except for dates of events they are the only way to see the manor. Secure your ticket at linneanska.biljetto.com.
The tour is a collaboration with The Uppsala-Lenna Heritage Railway and The Swedish Tramway Society, with financial support from the Uppsala Municipality.

This tour is not available in 2026.
