International collaboration
So far, HERO’s activities have mainly had a local and national focus, but the centre has both clear ambitions and ongoing initiatives to develop a stronger international orientation.
In spring 2024, an international scientific council was established. The board aims to strengthen the international dimension of the centre’s activities by, on the one hand, making HERO’s work known in various international contexts and, on the other, anchoring the activities in Uppsala more firmly in international environments. The network spans a range of disciplines, such as philosophy, history, history of science, sociology of science, business administration, sociology, political science, and law. The researchers are based in leading research nations within the field, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Canada, as well as the Nordic countries, which are key partners and represent comparable education and research systems.
