Our services

Decorative DNA spiral

We provide a broad range of sequencing services for genetic research, from extraction of high molecular weight DNA to analysis completion of a sequencing project. Every project involves planning, and we will guide you on your way towards a project setup.

Register your project in the NGI order portal, and you will be contacted by one of our project coordinators shortly.

Meetings are free of charge and non-binding.

Project Prioritization and Approval

Project prioritization is based on scientific and technical merits, and submissions are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. For projects funded by competitive grants, a secondary evaluation is not conducted; instead, the technical review focuses on ensuring a robust project design aligned with the research objectives. For projects that may exceed 5% of NGI's capacity for a specific application or instrument, the NGI steering group will review and decide whether the project can be undertaken.

It is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure that all relevant ethical approvals, informed consent, and other necessary approvals are secured prior to placing an order with NGI.

User Fee Model

Swedish and International Academic users as well as the healthcare sectors are charged for the costs of reagents and consumables required for the assays included in their projects, along with an additional fee to cover instrument service, rent, and labor costs not funded by our grants from the Swedish Research Council and SciLifeLab. Collaborative projects may benefit from joint funding, resulting in reduced costs.

Users from industry are charged according to a full-cost model.

Project planning meetings with our project coordinators, which cover project setup and available methodologies, are provided free of charge.
