I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Economics at Uppsala University, working in economic history and political economy.

My research focuses on the intersection of these fields, particularly on questions of nation-building and social identities in a historical setting.

My work is applied, involving the construction of novel historical datasets and causal inference.
