Jonatan Andersson

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Housing and Urban Research at Uppsala University (January 2025-).

I do research on migration, labor market outcomes, and social mobility by constructing individual-level panel data from historical sources.

My doctoral project Migrants and Towns focused on self-selection into rural-urban migration and the outcomes of migrants in urban areas during the urbanization of Sweden in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

I participate in the Stockholm Population Project as a researcher.
