Organisation and governance

The Disciplinary Domain of Humanities and Social Sciences has a broad and in-depth range of high-quality programmes and research across 40 departments/units, spanning theology, law, humanities, languages, social sciences and educational sciences. More than 60% of the students at the University study one of our subjects.

Both education and research at the Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University are highly successful environments. We see daily evidence of excellence in education and research at our disciplinary domain, both nationally and internationally.

The disciplinary domain is organised into six faculties:

• Faculty of Theology
• Faculty of Law
• Faculty of Arts
• Faculty of Languages
• Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Educational Sciences

Activities are coordinated by the Humanities and Social Sciences Disciplinary Domain Board. The Disciplinary Domain Board and Faculty Boards are supported by the Faculty Office.
