Old-age pension

The National Government Employee Pensions Board (SPV) will contact you in good time before you enter retirement and will send pension forecasts, your service register and applications.

You need to check your service register and contact SPV if the information there is incorrect. SPV will then investigate and amend the register if necessary. After approval of the service register, you submit the register, the application and the form Uppsägning på egen begäran (7.0.1) [Termination at your own request] signed by the head of department/equivalent to the Payroll Unit.
If you want to retire at a different time, e.g. early retirement or deferred retirement, you must contact SPV, which will send you your pension documents.
As an employee, you need to inform the Swedish Pensions Agency three months before your national public pension is due to be paid.
