Employee benefits
As an Uppsala University employee you get several benefits, for example wellness subsidies, healthcare allowance, extra annual leave, etc.
You are also prioritised in the housing queue at Uppsala University Foundations Management of Estates and Funds.
Wellness
A subsidy of up to SEK 2,000 towards wellness activities, wellness hours and subsidised massage.
Healthcare allowance
The University reimburses certain expenses for doctor/physiotherapist visits and medicines, and provides a sick pay supplement.
For parents
If you have children under the age of 12 you can receive supplementary parental benefits and are entitled to shorter working hours.
Extra annual leave
As a state employee, you have more days of annual leave than the statutory 25 days per year – 28, 31 or 35 days, depending on your age.
Paid leave
As a state employee, you are entitled to a paid leave of absence for moving, certain family occasions, etc.
Housing queue
Uppsala University Foundations Management of Estates and Funds rents out apartments, and as an Uppsala University employee you are prioritised in their housing queue.
