Information Provision
Uppsala University as an authority is obliged to archive and keep a diary of public documents, regardless of the medium.
Information management deals with structures, labor law and system support for the university's information; without information, organisations lose their memory and have difficulty asserting and fulfilling their rights and obligations. Good information management is the backbone of a successful organisation.
What is a public record?
A document is public if it has been drawn up at, sent out from or received by the authority. The document must be kept by the authority.
A public document can be a text, an image, a tape recording, a film or other information that has been stored in a computer, for example.
The main rule is that public documents are public. Everyone should be able to take part in them.
