New: link to chatbot that does not require an account, useful in teaching (23-12-06)

ChatGPT, and similar tools, have caught most of the attention during the recent debate on AI, but this is a much wider field. In order to gain an overview, you can start by browsing through the tools, collected at Futurepedia.

Tools (a few examples out of many):

ChatGPT

Perplexity

Chatsonic

NB! In the wake of ChatGPT ' s fame there have appeared attempts to plant malware on users ' devices . There are many specially designed tools that legitimately make use of, e.g., GPT3 , but also others that are actually trying to trick people into downloading malware . It may be wise to stick to the large and well - known variants , and to make a rule of double - checking other tools before you start using them !

Examples of using AI in teaching

To use ChatGPT and many other tools, you need to create accounts, but as a teacher, you can't require students to create accounts with external service providers and agree to their terms. However, there are options where one can choose to use the tools directly, without accounts, although it comes with some limitations. One such tool is, e.g., Bloombot.
