Support to students

Aktiva studenter

In contact with students, it is good to know what support and service resources are available for our students at a university-wide level. If necessary, you can refer them for support and help.

As an employee, you can of course also benefit from the support and resources available.

Central student services

At the central student services, students can get help with general questions about studies, pick up campus cards, get one-time passcodes and more.

The Languages Workshop

The Language Workshop offers students and doctoral students tutorials in written and oral presentation. The Language Workshop can, among other things, take part in discussions about developing writing instructions and advice on giving feedback on students' texts. The Language Workshop is also a resource for teaching staff. Teachers can book a lecture or a workshop with the Language Workshop.

Study and career counselling

  • The study and career counsellors offer students information regarding study and career issues. They also serve as a support resource and as a sounding board for the departments.
  • UU Careers is an activity where study and career counsellors offering counselling sessions, CV supervision and various career activities targeted at students, doctoral students and recent graduates who are taking the first step into their working life.
  • The career portal UU CareerGate is a tailor-made job database for students. Here you can place advertisements aimed at our students.
  • GoinGlobal is a digital career support for international career paths.

The Student Health Service

The Student Health Service is the students' health care with psychologists, counsellors and health educators. They also work with educational activities and lectures for students. If you are interested in carrying out an activity or lecture for a student group, send an email to uppdrag-sh@uu.se for further discussion.

Support for students with a disability

Students with disabilities are entitled to special support, so-called targeted study support. Students who have been granted support must have a contact person at their department.

Student insurance

The insurance provider for students at Uppsala University is Kammarkollegiet, the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency.

The student unions

The unions have student and doctoral student representatives, student safety representatives and student liaison officers who can offer support to students on issues concerning studies and the study environment.

The University Church

The University Chaplaincy is for all students, regardless of faith, and offers individual counselling for those who need to talk to someone. They also organise various activities such as choirs, lectures and crisis support.
