Oxford-Uppsala Culture & Creativity Research Cluster

Since 2023, Uppsala (via the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences) and Oxford (via the Humanities Division) have a partnership to facilitate and develop researchers' initiatives and work on inter- and multidisciplinarity.

TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) at the University of Oxford and the CIRCUS (Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society) at Uppsala University in Sweden are delighted to announce the first Oxford-Uppsala Culture & Creativity Research Cluster.

The Cluster brings together 10 researchers from both organisations to explore and develop interdisciplinary collaborative projects across both countries.

  • Professor Kirsten Shepherd-Barr, Faculty of English: Scandinavian literature & theatre and the intersection with climate change
