Activate your student account

If you are a new student you must activate your student account. You can activate your account a few days after receiving your final admission decision.

When you have activated your account you have to register for your courses.

Registration for courses

If you have been admitted you have to register on time to keep your place on the course. For the majority of our courses you register yourself through Ladok for students and the date of registration you find there.

Log into Ladok and register

On some of our courses you cannot register yourself. This can be project courses that requires a project plan approved by the department. To register for these courses you need to contact the course administration.

Registration for your master's programme

You cannot register for your master's programme yourself. Registration will be made by roll-call at the University. A Registration Day will be held by our department and we will register you for the programme and the courses for the first semester. Invitation to the Registration Day will be sent to admitted students via e-mail in connection to admission to the programme.

Information for our Master's students

Conditionally admitted

If you are admitted with conditions your merits will be assessed by the department to see if you fulfill the entry requirements. If our Director of studies have deemed your merits sufficient or if you are granted an exemption you will be able to register for the course in Ladok before course start. If your merits are deemed insufficient you will be notified by the e-mail address stated in your universityadmissions.se account.

Admission of reserves

If you have been placed on a waiting list for a course we will contact you by e-mail in case a vacancy opens up. Check that your contact information is correct on your universityadmissions.se account and remember to check your spam folder.

Application to courses

As a programme student, after the first semester you must apply for the continuing courses included in your programme. You apply every semester through universityadmissions.se and this applies to both elective and compulsory courses. Look in your study plan to see which courses are outlined in your programme.

Some project courses in your study plan cannot be applied for however, contact your study counsellor to learn more if you cannot find the course on universityadmissions.se.

Late application

If you forgot to apply or accept your admission for your courses for the next semester or study period you might be able to make a late application through universityadmissions.se. Our programme courses are open for late application until approximately two weeks before the course start date.

Late applications will be handled in the order they have been submitted and you will receive a message of confirmation through University Admissions when Uppsala university has processed your application.

Re-registration

If you want to enroll in a course that you have been registered for during a previous term you can be re-registered. All re-registrations are however made in subject to availability. To apply for re-registration please contact the course administration prior to course start.
