About the course
This is a course for you who have previous knowledge in molecular biology and chemistry and would like training in experimental molecular biology in an international environment. The course is focused on some of the basic tools used in synthetic biology and both predesigned experiments and smaller research projects will be performed. Lectures include an introduction to synthetic biology, biosafety, bioethics, and presentation techniques. The students will also practice generic skills such as design, performance and analysis of experiments, problem-solving and communication of scientific results.
Since the course is aimed primarily at students outside Sweden, we offer a service package that includes accommodation, lunches, welcome and goodbye dinners and social activities. This package costs 10,000 SEK. For fee-paying students, this cost is not included in the tuition fee.
