About the course
This course discusses the meaning of the term sustainable development and analyses materials development with respect to environmental, social, and economical aspects. Raw material extraction, product manufacturing, and recycling of materials are also discussed. The course further deals with energy consumption and energy-relevant materials from the perspective of sustainable development. The course is taught in the form of lectures and seminars. During the course the students will also conduct a few short projects related to sustainable development.
