About the course

Needs and opportunities for modeling additive manufacturing processes are presented and discussed, with a focus on powder bed technology and how thermomechanical effects affect components produced by additive manufacturing. Strategies for process simulation and software for process simulation and their possibilities to study effects of different process parameters in additive manufacturing processes are practiced. Possibilities for collecting and processing process data are discussed, as well as strategies and techniques for quality control of additively manufactured components.
