About the course
This course provides an orientation on the fundamental concepts and theories that underpin research in human geography. Emphasis is placed on the spatial perspective as a critical tool for understanding social, cultural, economic, and political processes. The course addresses theories of space, place, and scale, and deepens students’ understanding of how these concepts can be applied to analyse complex societal challenges and how human relationships and landscapes are shaped in a globalised world.
The course provides you with theoretical and analytical tools that are in demand in research, urban and regional planning, and policy development.
