About the course
Migration and demographic change are central processes that shape societies, economies, and political structures worldwide. The course is grounded in the current research front in population geography and highlights the spatial dimensions of migration and demographic transformation. Throughout the course, you will develop an advanced understanding of population-geographical patterns, processes, and projections, as well as how local, regional, national, and global consequences of population dynamics can be analysed and interpreted.
The course offers theoretical and analytical perspectives relevant to students interested in the relationship between population dynamics and societal development, and is also valuable for those aiming for careers in areas such as urban and regional planning or international development.
