About the course
This course covers keyboard music from the 18th century. The instrumental music from the Baroque relies on contrapuntal models which were common to all musical theory and practice for nearly a century. In the course examples and case studies are studied through analysis, whereafter you write exercises in the same style according to fixed models and exercises. The course covers three- and four-part fugues and other advanced contrapuntal forms, as a continuation of the course Baroque Counterpoint 1.
