About the course
This course covers keyboard music from the 18th century. The instrumental music from the Baroque relies on contrapuntal models which were common to all musical theory and practice for nearly a century. In the course, examples and case studies are studied through analysis, after which you write exercises in the same style according to fixed models and exercises. The course covers three- and four-part fugues and other advanced contrapuntal forms, as a continuation of the course Baroque Counterpoint 1.
Outline for distance course: This course is net-based and has no mandatory physical meetings or fixed times. You will need a computer with an internet connection to follow the course. Examinations take place continuously.
