About the course
The course is a fast track for comprehending Norwegian from a Swedish-speaking person's starting point. As Norwegian and Swedish are closely related a single course will get you far. The comparative approach highlights Norwegian expressions that lack parallel in Swedish and "false friends".
The course further introduces Norway's linguistic situation, including the two official forms of written Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk), no spoken standard variety and a plentitude of diverse dialects.
