How did you choose your programme?
– I chose this programme because, with a background in mechanical engineering and professional work experience, I realised the importance of strengthening my management and leadership skills to complement my technical foundation. Additionally, I was particularly drawn to the opportunity for international exposure, as it allows me to learn from diverse perspectives, collaborate with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds, and develop a truly global outlook.

What is the best thing about studying at Uppsala University?
– It is how engaging and enriching the overall learning experience is. The classes are not only fun but also highly interactive, encouraging critical thinking and real-world application of concepts. Working on group projects has been both challenging and knowledge-intensive, pushing me to collaborate effectively and think from multiple perspectives.

Was there anything you found difficult or surprising when you started your studies at Uppsala University?
– Adjusting to a new culture and making new friends took some time, especially since everything felt so different from what I was used to. Because I had been working after completing my bachelor’s degree, getting back into the rhythm of studying and academic life also took me a little while. The weather was another adjustment, the long, cold days sometimes make me feel a bit lethargic, which can make it harder to stay focused. On top of that, the continuous stream of assignments can feel quite hectic at times. However, I see all these challenges as valuable parts of the journey. They’ve helped me become more adaptable, resilient, and organized, and I genuinely enjoy tackling them as opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Describe the student life!

– Personally, I really enjoy cooking and having cozy dinners with close friends, it’s a great way to unwind after classes. I also love visiting the nations once in a while to socialize, meet people from different programs and countries, and experience the lively student atmosphere. Overall, student life here feels like a perfect mix of learning, fun, and personal growth, with endless chances to explore new interests and create lasting memories.

Name three things you are doing this week
– It’s been a nice balance of celebration, work, and academics. I celebrated Diwali with my friends and we also celebrated a friend’s birthday. I’ve been working at the nation as well. Alongside all that, I’m attending seminars for one of my courses and focusing on finishing up my assignments.

What is your reason for studying, or your ultimate goal?
– My reason for studying is rooted in my desire for continuous growth, both personally and academically. I believe that learning never really stops, and this programme is a meaningful step toward becoming a more skilled, independent, and well-rounded individual. My main goal was to strengthen my management and leadership abilities while continuing to build on my technical background. Looking ahead, I aspire to grow in my career and work as a project manager in a reputed organisation, where I can apply my knowledge to drive innovation, lead diverse teams, and contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s success and growth.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying for this programme?
– My advice to anyone considering applying for this programme would be to come with some prior work experience or internship exposure, it really helps you grasp the concepts more easily and relate theory to real-world situations. Be prepared to read a lot and stay open to unlearning and relearning certain practices, as the programme challenges the way you think and approach problems. Most importantly, join this programme if you are genuinely interested in growing as a person, broadening your perspective, and continuously learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
