Entry requirements
120 ECTS credits with minimum 90 ECTS credits in Physics, Earth Science or Biology.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student shall
- have gained a deeper understanding of how the climate can vary on a time scale from 10 year up to hundreds of million years (paleoclimatology)
- be able to use basic knowledge in meteorology to understand climate
- have knowledge about methods used in paleoclimatology, climate indicators, dating methods and climate factors
- understand the difference between a climate fluctuation and climate change
- have knowledge about methods used to investigate / predict future climate.
