Entry requirements
120 credits including alternative 1) 40 credit points/60 credits biology and 20 credit points/30 credits chemistry or 20 credit points/30 credits earth sciences; alternative 2) 60 credit points/90 credits biology.
Content
The course focuses on mechanisms on molecular, cell and organism levels that guide the different phases of plant development such as embryogenesis, germination, vegetative growth and reproduction.
Instruction
The teaching consists of lectures, literature compilations, group discussions and laboratory research projects.
Modules: Theory 7 credits; Literature compilation 2 credits; Group discussions 1 credit; Project Work 5 credits.
Assessment
The theory part is examined through written examination (7 credits), Literature compilation (2 credits) by oral presentation. The project is presented through written report (5 credits). For group discussions (1 credit) an active participation is required The participation in presentations, group discussions and research projects is compulsory.
