Content
The experimental background of quantum mechanics. Basic quantum mechanical principles: uncertainty principle, expectation values, operators. Wave functions, Schrödinger equation, one-dimensional systems, three-dimensional systems, angular momentum, spin. Hydrogen atom, spin-orbit couplings, atomic spectra, identical particles and quantum statistics. Simple molecules and spectroscopic methods.
Laboratory part: Photoelectrical effect and optical spectroscopy.
